The second Festival was another resounding success. Some outstanding rugby played, with 3 new teams attending. Ochalochs were the victors after a brilliant final vs. Lomond. The Warthogs were victors for the second year playing two fantastic games.
The third Festival in July 2014 was even better. The standard of rugby has increased year on year and the family feeling and island welcome continues to make the festival very special. The final between Coll RFC and Oban RFC was very close, with Oban winning. Coll are determined to return in 2015 to take the trophy.
The fourth Festival was on a glorious day. The standard of rugby increased again with two fabulous semi finals and then a tight final between Oban and Corry Vreckan with Corry Vreckan winning in the last minutes.
We missed out on a festival in 2016 as the eldest son of the organisers was getting married!
But 2017 was probably the best festival of them all. Rainy and windy but great rugby from both women and mens teams, with dramatic semi final and then a very competitive mens final between Ochaloch bears (winners of the 2013 festival) and Corry Vreckan ( winners of the 2015 festival), with Ochalochs winning.

Dave Beaumont, President of Strathendrick: "Great organisation, excellent banter between the teams, and a totally enjoyable atmosphere in a superb location, what more could we want?"
Rhona Lloyd, Captain Edinburgh University, " Now that my hangover has subsided I wanted to say thank you for a fantastic weekend as I don’t think I did on Sunday. I’ve done a lot of the island 7s tournaments and Colonsay takes the win. We’ll be back next year."
Spectators are most welcome through the day. Then do join us for one of the highlights of the Festival, the Ceilidh on the saturday evening. When many islanders join the players late into the night for Scottish dancing with a live band.
The 2018 fancy dress theme for the evening is “Sporting Heroes”.
